Recent Accolades

Paula Martin received the 2023 society for medical anthropology dissertation award and recently published an article, A “hard question”: Gender affirming care and gender distress in a social world, in Feminist Anthropology.

Dario Maestripieri began serving as Editor in Chief of the journal Evolutionary Behavioral Sciences, published by the American Psychological Association on January 1, 2024. He is also Editor in Chief of Adaptive Human Behavior and Physiology, published by Springer. 

In December 2023, Professor Michele Friedner talked with E'thar AlAzem of Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism about disability coverage in the media, including covering cochlear implants in developing countries as well as the current situation of disabled Gazans.
