I am interested in human mind and behavior in cultural and social psychology. Specifically my research primarily focuses on visual aesthetics, emotion, social cognition, user experience, customer behaviors and their cross-cultural studies. Using behavioral science and neuroscience methods, I explore the features, mechanisms and aftereffects of mental and behavioral processes in different cultures. In my previous research, I have explored topics on mixed emotion, the user experience of MOOC and the visual aesthetics. Currently one of my research projects is about visualization aesthetics. Through exploring the mechanism of visualization aesthetics and cultural differences, I try to provide an aesthetic theory to guide visualization design and improve consumer satisfaction.
