Several students have garnered awards and recognition this past month.

Amy Cooper won a competition to be one of the presenters at the Irmgard Coninx Foundation's Berlin Roundtable on Transnationality (This year's topic: “Health Politics in an Interconnected World”). The award includes airfare, hotel and all expenses for one week in Berlin this December.

Aaron Seamen has been awarded a Wenner Gren Foundation fellowship to support his dissertation research.

Shana Fruehan Sandberg has had a revised version of her dissertation chapter on contraception selected for the 2010 Graduate Student Paper Award from the Council on Anthropology and Reproduction (a special interest group of the AAA's Society for Medical Anthropology).
